When should I pick Code 93 over Code 39?

When you need the same character set in less space, or want the extra safety of built-in check characters. Note that some older scanners do not support Code 93.

Which characters are allowed?

Digits 0-9, capitals A-Z and the symbols dash, period, space, dollar, slash, plus and percent. Lowercase input is converted to uppercase automatically.

Is Code 93 better than Code 128?

For pure numeric data Code 128 is usually denser and more widely supported. Code 93 is most useful if you are migrating from Code 39 and want to save space without changing your data structure.
